FieldBit — Terms of Service

1. Introduction & Acceptance

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of FieldBit (the “App” or “Service”), operated by ReadBits AI Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, India (“ReadBits”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By signing up, tapping “Get Started”, or otherwise using FieldBit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use FieldBit.

If these Terms conflict with the Privacy Policy on any matter relating to personal data, the Privacy Policy controls. For all other matters, these Terms control.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a legally binding contract under the laws of India. By using FieldBit, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

Business owners are responsible for verifying that their field agents are also 18+ before inviting them to join the team.

3. Your Account

  • Accounts are created via phone OTP verification through Firebase Authentication.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your device, your SIM, and your account credentials.
  • Don't share your account with others. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Accounts are tied to a phone number. Changing your phone number requires contacting support.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Roles

FieldBit has two primary roles:

  • Business Owner — creates the team, subscribes to a plan, invites field agents, and reviews visits. Under the DPDP Act 2023, the owner is the Data Fiduciary for their team's visit data.
  • Field Agent — invited by an owner via passcode; logs field visits; earns rewards for verified visits.

5. Subscription & Billing

5.1 Plans & Pricing

  • Free Trial: 30 days, no credit card required.
  • Free Tier: up to 3 agents, limited features, no expiry.
  • Paid Plans: Starter (₹249/agent/month), Growth (₹199/agent/month), Enterprise (₹149/agent/month). Prices displayed in-app at the time of subscription are authoritative.

5.2 Taxes

Prices exclude GST unless explicitly stated. Goods and Services Tax at applicable Indian rates will be added and reflected on your invoice.

5.3 Auto-Renewal

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select) at the then-current price. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time from the More → Subscription screen or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain paid access until then.

5.4 Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. For annual plans, pro-rata refunds may be granted at our discretion within 30 days of renewal if requested in writing at support@readbits.ai.

5.5 Downgrades & Plan Changes

Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. Upgrades take effect immediately with pro-rated billing.

6. Field Visit Verification

By checking in at a location via FieldBit, you (the field agent) represent that:

  • You are physically present at the location at the time of check-in;
  • The photo you submit is a live photo captured at the location and time of the visit;
  • You grant us the right to process your GPS coordinates, photos, and voice notes for verification and display to authorized users (your business owner, our support team).

Trust Score. Each visit is assigned a trust score based on GPS accuracy, distance to the target location, photo metadata, time of submission, and other signals. The exact scoring algorithm is proprietary and may change. Visits with a trust score of 80 or above are auto-verified; lower-scored visits require owner review.

Owner Flagging. Business owners may manually flag any visit, including auto-verified ones. Flagging reverses any reward associated with that visit and removes it from the agent's FieldBit balance.

7. Rewards Program

7.1 Earning Rewards

  • Field agents earn ₹30 per verified visit. A visit is verified if its trust score is ≥ 80% OR the business owner explicitly verifies it.
  • Rewards accrue to the agent's FieldBit balance.
  • A ₹50 milestone bonus is awarded on the 10th verified visit.

7.2 Cashout

  • Minimum cashout amount: ₹300 (10 verified visits).
  • Cashout is requested in the app and processed manually via UPI, with WhatsApp confirmation.
  • Payouts are typically sent within 24 hours of confirmation, but may take up to 48 hours.
  • You must provide a valid Indian mobile number linked to your UPI account (Google Pay / PhonePe / Paytm), plus the full name matching the UPI account.
  • Cooldown: 7 days between successive cashouts; 7 days minimum account age before first cashout.
  • Only one pending cashout request at a time; cancel or wait for processing before requesting another.

7.3 Payout Failures

If a UPI payout fails (invalid ID, closed account, name mismatch), we will notify you and restore the balance. You may retry with corrected information after the cooldown resets.

7.4 Fraud Prevention

We reserve the right to withhold, reverse, or revoke rewards if we detect or reasonably suspect fraudulent activity, including but not limited to:

  • Multiple visits within minutes at the same location
  • GPS coordinates inconsistent with device IP geolocation
  • Re-used or stock photos
  • Photo EXIF data inconsistent with reported check-in time
  • UPI ID, phone, or name mismatches suggesting account stuffing
  • Use of mock-location apps or GPS spoofing tools

Decisions under this section are final at our sole discretion. Repeat offenders may have their account permanently suspended.

7.5 Taxes on Rewards

Rewards are income for the receiving agent. Tax reporting and payment, if applicable, is the agent's responsibility. If cumulative annual payouts cross statutory thresholds, we may deduct TDS as required by Indian law.

7.6 Program Changes

We may modify the rewards program (per-visit amount, cooldowns, bonuses, eligibility rules) at any time with 7 days' notice via in-app message. Rewards already earned and pending cashout will honor the terms in effect when they were earned.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Falsify your GPS location or submit fabricated visits
  • Share your account, password, or OTPs with anyone
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers
  • Interfere with FieldBit's servers, other users, or the normal operation of the Service
  • Use FieldBit to track, monitor, or surveil individuals without their informed consent and legitimate business purpose
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Circumvent geofencing, trust scoring, or reward limits through technical means

9. Business Owner Obligations

If you use FieldBit as a business owner:

  • You are the Data Fiduciary for your team's data under the DPDP Act 2023. ReadBits acts as a Data Processor on your behalf.
  • You must have a lawful basis (e.g., employment contract, signed consent) to collect and process your agents' location and visit data.
  • You must inform your agents about FieldBit and ensure they consent to its data practices.
  • You must not use agent location data for purposes beyond legitimate business operations (e.g., not for personal surveillance).
  • You must comply with applicable Indian labour laws (wages, hours, rest periods) in your management of field agents.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of any rewards you authorize via manual verification.

10. User-Generated Content

Photos, voice notes, text notes, and visit metadata (“Your Content”) you submit through FieldBit remain your property. You grant ReadBits a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to authorized users (your business owner, your team, our support staff under access controls).

You represent that Your Content does not violate any third-party rights, laws, or regulations, and that you have the right to submit it.

11. Privacy & Data Handling

Your personal data is handled per our Privacy Policy. Key points:

  • GPS is captured only at the moment of check-in. No continuous or background location tracking.
  • Photos are camera-only (no gallery uploads).
  • You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing support@readbits.ai.
  • In-app account deletion is available via More → Account settings. Deletion is processed within 30 days.

12. Communications

By using FieldBit, you consent to receive:

  • SMS — OTPs and critical account notifications
  • Push notifications — visit events, reward updates, payout status
  • WhatsApp — cashout coordination and customer support (sent to the number you registered with)
  • Email — payment receipts, monthly summaries, and service announcements

Marketing communications are sent only with your explicit opt-in and can be unsubscribed at any time.

13. Third-Party Services

FieldBit integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication and push notifications
  • Google Maps & Places API — location display and place search
  • Amazon Web Services — media storage and API hosting
  • UPI apps (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm and bank UPI apps) — payouts
  • WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) — cashout coordination and support

These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their operation, availability, or failures beyond our reasonable control.

14. Intellectual Property

FieldBit, its code, branding, trademarks, and content (excluding Your Content) are the exclusive property of ReadBits. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose. This license terminates when your account is closed or these Terms are violated.

15. Service Availability & Changes

FieldBit is provided “as is” and “as available”. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee specific uptime levels on Starter or Free plans. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with 30 days' notice. Planned maintenance may cause temporary unavailability.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReadBits is not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Acts or omissions of business owners, agents, or other users
  • Third-party service failures (Firebase, Google Maps, AWS, UPI apps, WhatsApp) beyond our reasonable control
  • Disputes between business owners and their field agents over wages, rewards, or employment matters

Our total aggregate liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid to ReadBits in subscription fees during that period (or ₹1,000, whichever is greater).

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ReadBits, its directors, employees, and affiliates from claims, losses, and expenses arising from: your misuse of the App; Your Content; your violation of these Terms; or your employment and management of field agents (if you are a business owner).

18. Termination

  • You may stop using FieldBit at any time. In-app account deletion is available via More → Account and is processed within 30 days per DPDP Act timelines.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or create legal or security risks, with or without notice.
  • On termination: pending rewards earned up to the date of termination will be honored if properly documented and not tainted by fraud; future earning stops.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, liability, indemnification, dispute resolution) survive termination.

19. Dispute Resolution

  • Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
  • Jurisdiction: Courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
  • Informal Resolution: Before filing any formal claim, please contact us at support@readbits.ai. We commit to a good-faith effort to resolve disputes within 30 days.

20. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to causes beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, government action, internet or telecom outages, power failures, or failures of third-party services on which we depend.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via in-app banner, push notification, or email at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision.

22. Miscellaneous

  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
  • No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business.
  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific terms referenced in-app, constitute the entire agreement between you and ReadBits regarding FieldBit.
  • Language: These Terms are published in English. Translations, if provided, are for convenience only; the English version controls in case of conflict.
